Wrocław [read: WrocLOVE] is the biggest city of the western part of Poland. A capital of Lower Silesia is located just over 100km away from both the German and the Czech border. Thanks to its international airport with direct connections to most of the European hubs, Wrocław has recently become one the most popular touristic destinations for visitors willing to learn about its rich history and to see many unique sites. Wrocław is also often described as “The basketball capital of Poland”. The city with approx.. 800 000 inhabitants is famous from its basketball traditions. Many players raised in Wrocław represented the Polish National Team. WKS Śląsk Wrocław is the most decorated club in Poland both in domestic and international competitions. Biggest games are played at the famous Centennial Hall – a UNESCO Heritage Site – with over 7000 passionate spectators at stands supporting their beloved club.
Vertical Hoops is an American company and a major youth basketball tournaments organizer in the region of the Northeastern United States. The tournaments organized mainly in Connecticut and Massachusetts host over 3000 teams every year. Now, the Vertical Hoops comes to Europe, with its first tournament being organized in Wroclaw, Poland.
The Vertical Hoops EuroCup is organized in cooperation with top basketball clubs in Poland and will see competition for boys and girls in various age categories. Boys U17 & U15 are invitational for elite teams only and other categories are open to amateur teams as well.
The Vertical Hoops EuroCup is created for international competition. Boys from Notre Dame-West Haven high school team won U17 category in 2024 beating famous Žalgiris Kaunas from Lithuania in the final. Teams from countries like France and Slovakia also participated in 2024 and more nationalities can be expected to take part this year along with top Polish teams including the hosting clubs from Wrocław.
All winning teams will get a trophy and each player of the winning team will receive a championship ring.

The tournament will be played in basketball halls which are managed by the hosting clubs. WKK and 1KSŚlęza Wrocław offer new and modern basketball facilities, which will serve as the tournament venues.
